My 2nd Commercial
My First "Commercial"
Texting Messaging Through Email
I now have a number of people in my family and at work who communicate almost entirely by text messaging.
Not being so very agile at this, I wondered if I could SEND text messages to someone's cell from my computer. I have no problem receiving/reading text messages, but - and I probably sound like a geezer - I find it really challenging to type in messages on my cell! Even after my son did something where I no longer have to hit each key 3 or 4 times 'til the "right" letter comes up. Now I hit a key once and the darn thing shows the word it thinks I'm trying to say...
Well, turns out you can do it from your laptop! I happen to have Verizon and so does most of my family, so the Verizon way is to email the person at phonenumber@Vtext.com. And if you don't know someone's carrier, try phonenumber@teleflip.com. (Be sure to type in all 10 numbers, including area code in the phonenumber).
Podcasting
My dear friend (and cousin!) has been teaching her Healing From the Core program all over the world, has her first book being published as we speak (Presence Matters), is blogging away to beat the band and wants to add podcasting to her life! So being the "delta" geek that I am (...not alpha, not beta...), I recorded both our conversation and the screen, while walking her through how to use AudioAcrobat for just this purpose. It's really easy, even for the non-technical. Click the graphic below to view the first in a 4-part series. Runtime is about 20 minutes

Video Training: Multi-Generational Workforce
![]()
Click on the thumbnail to start the movieI've been developing a new training program to address the diversity issues related to our multi-generational workforce. I put together a little video to introduce the subject, so just click the picture to start (or click here) . (Runs about 6 minutes). You'll see I'm experimenting with two things: Using a SitePal animated character and producing the movie as a Quicktime file, rather than Flash. If you can't view the movie, click the link below to download the free Quicktime Player. It might take a little longer for the video to load and play than a flash file, but the quality will be better, so be patient please. Download free Quicktime Player for Windows

Karen's Classes
I've been working on a video project for those who attend my corporate trainings. The idea is to create a series of short videos that will be automatically emailed to participants every week. Below is my first go at this....picture it on a nice-looking webpage with links to topics mentioned in the video.
